Reblog if you've formed a meaningful relationship...

Not sure what is meant by ‘meaningful’…. but I have very meaningful relationships with about 4 or 5 people that I only know on line. We share things on and off line… but these are not sexual relationships…but could be potentially. I feel that on line is a great way to get to know someone…over a longish period. ...

willbraham asked: Well right now she's with her father in Boston & then in about a month she's going to go down to Napa & work at the winery pouring her father's wine, he's an ex baseball player with his own brand. I'm not sure which vineyard she's working at, yet.
Thoughts and truths
1. When a tornado strikes, there is no one to blame. It is simply so sad. I keep thinking of how it must feel to drop your kid off at school and never see him or her alive again.
2. We dropped of my granddaughter in Napa. She starts her internship at a fancy winery. Hard work but great background and probably connections.
3. My niece is now divorced. It ended well, as I suspected it...

Tuesday truth
1. I’m a little over the edge tonight… well all day actually. I feel like I have too much on my plate.
2. I haven’t been to downtown Los Angeles (except to go to a Laker game) since about 1990. 3. No sex since forever, it seems like.
4. My son told me he wants to have me over..or take me out for Mother’s Day. I have to watch my grandson. Maybe I can still do...

Last night I found out that a ‘friend’ of mine had betrayed me. She had pretended to be my friend, asked for help which I gave freely… and then she got better (apparently)…. got more friends and now doesn’t and won’t talk to me. Treason…. an enemy.
It really made me feel bad because it was completely unexpected. I found out from someone else who...

And regarding another grandchild...
My first grandchild, ‘A’, came back to California from NYC because she was going a little crazy there. (she said so herself… and needed help).
She got better and was happy re-connecting with old friends and feeling like her life was going someplace again (she’s 24). She even danced in a performance and she hadn’t done that for a long long time.
Now she is back in...
I worry so much about my grandson. His Dad is now away working on a film and B is at home with his Mother. B tells anyone who will listen that he doesn’t like his Mother. When I ask why, he only says, ‘because I don’t like her’. He is 3 3/4 years old.
I have never ever known a child who says this. Yes, once in a while a kid will say “I don’t like...
Sad thing...
My grandson: I’m going to miss you so much when you leave.
Me: I will miss you too. I love you so much.
My grandson: I want to live at your house.
Me: But your parents would miss you.
My grandson: *brief pause …. then… No, they don’t.

It’s a fast read.. it’s like prose-poetry. It’s like fiction… really? Can anyone’s life really have been like this? Anyway.. read it. It’s good.
We got back from the Memorial Service for Aunt Virginia yesterday. I was exhausted and pretty down too. I’m not sure the exact reason for my bad mood but it was probably a combination of exhaustion and annoying people.
Overall, it was a fine trip though and I’m really happy I went.

New Orleans Dixieland Funeral Service
This weekend we will be at the funeral for my husband’s wonderful Aunt Virginia. The tradition in the family is to do a Dixieland service… and so will this one be. Partially, at least. I doubt there will be marching around though I do think we should do that.. but there will be music. Hubby is putting together the ‘set list’. He and his brothers will play…. and...

New clothes for A.V.'s funeral
My husband had to get a new suit for the upcoming funeral. His old ones are absurdly large on him… and beside, the pants have pleats.. big huge pleats that make him look enormous… sort of zoot suit-esque.
I got an outfit as well.. and I LOVE it btw. It’s a bit ‘fun’ rather than conservative funereal. I’m sure this skirt particularly will be the talk of the...

Wednesday night and I’ve sold a couple of things today. I am making progress. The piano may be sold. That’s a big deal.
I miss intimate conversation and relaxing and laughing and getting kind of drunk.

Tears tonight
It’s not really personal, not really. Our Aunt Virginia is at the end, very near death. She’s a wonderful person. If the rest of the world was even a little like her, this planet would be a really pleasant place.
But mostly my tears tonight are for those in Boston who were injured and families who lost someone.
My tears are also for those who helped. Those who ran to help,...
Now my other son has married a woman who keeps blowing off the family that is here and she is part of… to make friends and spend time with them and basically do everything she can to get my son out of this family… oh and the grandkids too.
My oldest son made an observation about his almost-ex-wife. According to her, having a family was one of the most important thing in her life. The family she married into.. our family… is strong, supportive, loving, creative, interesting, and can be counted on. My son said, she even knew that and just blew it off…it’s crazy. Her family is mostly 99% insane in one or many...
