Not sure what is meant by ‘meaningful’…. but I have very meaningful relationships with about 4 or 5 people that I only know on line. We share things on and off line… but these are not sexual relationships…but could be potentially. I feel that on line is a great way to get to know someone…over a longish period. True colors show.. and especially here on Tumblr.
Tim Cook warns Congress that he would refuse to repatriate $100bn stashed offshore unless US severely reduced its 35% tax rate===
And i demand that his wealth be seized and Apple expropriated by its workers.
I mean can you imagine the power these people have? to not only demand the government negotiate with them about money, but be bold enough to say “this is how much it is, this is where it is, and this is why we won’t be bringing it back.” and not have to worry about consequences? No one should have 100 billion dollars anyway - not when their employees are being forced to live the way they do.
fuck apple, man.
Corporations make money off of the American public twice. We quite literally pay for their products and then pay their share in taxes. And in cases like Walmart in some parts of the country, the city pays for their utilities. If anyone can afford to pay their fair share its a corporation that has billions in an off shore account, not say an underemployed adult behind on his student loans.
But I sure love my MacBook Pro, my iPhone, my iPod … ;-D
today I sold one of my chest of drawers. People have asked about the other stuff..but no go so far. I may need the back up of Goodwill or someplace else.
The newly released edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM-5) may be heralded as the “bible of psychiatry”, but it is not an objective scientific document outlining the truth about madness as its proponents claim. Rather, it’s a manual that has been used to propagate the misdiagnosis and maltreatment of vulnerable women.
Women are significantly more likely than men to be diagnosed with a range of psychiatric illnesses. This includes depression, anxiety, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, somatoform disorder, sleep disorders and dissociative identity or depersonalisation disorder.
Those who experience mood change once a month can be diagnosed with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
Women are also significantly more likely than men to be prescribed psychotropic medication known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), such as Prozac, given electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), or hospitalised for psychiatric illness.
But this doesn’t mean that women are more mad than men. They are simply more likely to be labelled as such when they express discontent or distress with everyday life. Or when they fail to live up to the unrealistic ideals of the perfect wife and mother.
willbraham asked: Well right now she's with her father in Boston & then in about a month she's going to go down to Napa & work at the winery pouring her father's wine, he's an ex baseball player with his own brand. I'm not sure which vineyard she's working at, yet.
Turns out Alex will still be working there though the injury she just got is fairly serious. That’s cool her Dad has his own wine.

A barbaric practice reinforced by a religion that doesn’t honor women but considers them chattle. Nothing is noted about what happened to the men who did this… jail? torture? or high five?
1. When a tornado strikes, there is no one to blame. It is simply so sad. I keep thinking of how it must feel to drop your kid off at school and never see him or her alive again.
2. We dropped of my granddaughter in Napa. She starts her internship at a fancy winery. Hard work but great background and probably connections.
3. My niece is now divorced. It ended well, as I suspected it would at some point. I am happy for them both. It’s always sad to end a relationship…no matter what reason… but I think this is a good thing and that both will be happy and get along well too.
4. I gave my son my copy of the Patti Smith book along with my collage of his high school graduation. He’s 50 now.
5. My husband’s birthday was yesterday. I did nothing..not a cake, not a birthday song.. nothing. I’m such a loser!
